Never Compromise Yourself, It's All You've Got

We all have dreams, things we aspire for and I am pretty sure there is no lack of opportunities for us to attain it, not without a price though. The price is often, our dignity.

We, at least once, get into a situation when we are forced to go beyond the limitations we have set for ourselves or cross bridges we promised never to cross. Those are tests, a part of our molding to becoming the person we want to remember when we die.

Actually, we go through little tests everyday. It doesn’t have to be huge ones. It could be something as petty as whether or not you go and beat the red light or copying answers from your seatmates for that exam you didn’t study for or flirting with a guy you know is married or returning the fifty peso bill a stranger dropped.

Of course, the toughest tests are the ones we don't see coming, when we don't have time to come up with a strategy to pick a side or to measure the potential loss. When that happens, that's when we might find ourselves in a situation that is bigger than what we can bear. So we always have to be careful to not lose ourselves.

The choice we will make will define us. One thing doesn’t make a person maybe but the sum of it does. And every little decision we make makes up our whole.

I hope that at the end of the day it will still be ourselves we will choose. I did and I might have lost some opportunities but I know for sure I still have me.
